Fraction Hunt Around Your House
Go on a fraction hunt around your house. What can you find that is already split into fractions? What can you find that could be split into fractions? Can you find examples of fractions written in number form in your house? Make a list and explain what you found and how it is a fraction or how the fraction is used.
Check out this YouCubed video for an example:
Here's another example of a fraction hunt. (Don't use knives to cut food without parent supervision.)

Greg Tang Math - Numskill
There are a ton of fun games on this website that will help you improve your number fluency.
Directions:
- Goal: to find a Numskill "set" of 3 cards. A Numskill set is made up of three cards that contain a number bond and 3 different colors. In a number bond, the three numbers "go together". The numbers 4, 5, and 1 make up a number bond because 4+1=5, 5-1=4, and 5-4=1.
- Example: a blue 3, a red 7, and a green 4 would be a Numskill set. The example set contains a number bond (3, 4, 7) and the cards are three different colors.
