Volcanoes

We are studying and reading about volcanoes in class this week.  Read about volcanoes on this science website.  You should also check out the Nat Geo Kids site on volcanoes.  National Geographic also has more advanced websites.  Read about them here and watch Volcanoes 101 here.

Webquest -- Measurement & Conversions

Work on this webquest to learn more about converting measurements.  Make sure you show your work and stay focused.  Use your reference sheet if you need help.  Don't forget to take your time and read questions carefully.  If you finish early, you can create word problems regarding measurement on your kidblog page.

Taxonomy -- Animal Classification

Read about taxonomy on Biology for Kids and Cliff's Notes.

For your taxonomy project, you will need to look up the taxonomy of the animal you choose using Google.  Please make sure you explain and understand what each classification of your animal means.

Multiplication with the standard algorithm and word problems
