Fun Facts About The Moon

1. The moon rotates at 10 miles per hour compared to the earth's rotation of 1000 miles per hour.
2. From Earth, we always see the same side of the moon; the other side is always hidden.
3. When a month has two full moons, the second full moon is called a blue moon. Another definition of a blue moon is the third full moon in any season (quarter of year) containing 4 total full moons.

First few people to repeat one of these facts to me win a prize.

Khan Academy

Do you feel like you need help on math sometimes?  You should check out Khan Academy.  Sal, the creator of the site, has links to all types of interesting topics.  I also highly recommend using this site to challenge yourself in math.

My Favorite Educational Website

Internet4classrooms.com has great grade level help and links.

If you need to practice your language arts or math skills, this is the place.  If you struggle with a particular subject, try a lower grade level.  Is it too easy?  Then try a higher grade level.  This site is perfect for skills practice, test prep, and educational games.
