ReplyDeleteThat's because you are awesome!
DeleteThe only reason I'm not doing the other Reading Challenge is because I'm always working on the library one every year. ;)
ReplyDeleteYou should double up. :)
DeleteI read the Copper Gauntlet.

So far, I read Great Expectations by Charles Dickens, The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane by Kate Dicamillo, and The Survival Guide to Bullying by Aija Mayrock. Kenny finished reading Christmas in Camelot, Leprechaun in Late Winter, Abe Lincoln at Last, Hurry Up Houdini, Earthquake in the Early Morning, Dark Day in the Deep Sea, Summer of the Sea Serpent, Dogs in the Dead of Night, Stallion by Starlight, and A Perfect Time for Pandas (all written by Mary Pope Osborne from the Magic Tree House series).

Kenny and I have started our own little reading rivalry. Sadly, ever since Kenny discovered the entire shelf dedicated for the Magic Tree House series, he is been heaving tons of books from the library during each trip. Meanwhile, I'm lucky to find a few good chapter books at the library. For now, Kenny is in the lead with a huge advantage, while I am still in search for my own jackpot shelf. Any recommendations for books for my age? :)

You won't be able to read as many as him, because those books are shorter. My recommendation is to keep track of pages. How about trying Lemony Snickett or The Hobbitt?
DeleteThanks for the suggestion. I'll remember to look out for those books next time I head to the library. I also finished reading Hoot by Carl Hiaasen, and Kenny just finished Blizzard of the Blue Moon (another Magic Treehouse Book written by Mary Pope Osborne).
