Science Fair 2019 -- Hypothesis Time!

Your science fair project is due by April 12 in class.  The science fair will be held on April 18 at school.

Hypothesis:
One of the things you will need to have on your presentation board is your hypothesis.  It is time to write up this hypothesis.

Learn what a hypothesis is.

Several things you should make sure of:
  1. Is your hypothesis based on research?  Does your written hypothesis show your research?
  2. Can you make a prediction about what will happen based on your hypothesis?
  3. Can you test your hypothesis?
  4. Will you be able to evaluate your hypothesis once your experiment or demonstration is completed?  Were you correct?  (It is ok if you were not correct.)

Science Fair -- Hypothesis Time!

It is time to come up with your hypothesis for your science fair project.  A hypothesis is an educated guess about what will happen in your science experiment.  A hypothesis should show that you have done some research.  Please post your hypothesis on Kidblog.

What is a hypothesis?

If you are doing a demonstration instead of an experiment, you will need to explain what you are demonstrating before you complete it.  Please show that you did significant research.

Our school science fair is on February 9.  Please make sure your science project is completed and brought to school by February 7.  Check out the science fair directions.

Science Fair

I hope you are excited about the science fair at school.  Our whole class will be participating.  The science fair is February 9.  Check out the science fair directions.

Your first assignment for the science fair is to figure out and write about what project you will do.  What will your experiment or demonstration be?  How will you make it work?  What materials will you need?  What scientific concept will you be exploring?  Please post this information on Kidblog.

Teacherp's Science Fair (Our Class Only)

I LOVE SCIENCE!!!  My favorite memories from elementary school come from participating in science fairs.  This year, our class will have our own science fair in order to learn and have fun at the same time.  Check out our science fair directions.  If you need ideas, I included links for ideas at the bottom of the directions page.

Your first responsibility will be to choose a project.  You then need to write about what you are going to do and how you are going to do it on Kidblog.  What experiment do you want to do?  What materials do you need?  Why did you pick this experiment?

This project will be due on April 8 so that we can have our science fair on April 11.

Your first assignment related to your project is to figure out and write about what you will do your project on.  What will your experiment or demonstration be?  How will you make it work?  What materials will you need?  Please post this information on Kidblog.

New Date -- Class Science Fair

Hi Class,

Sorry but I needed to change the date for the science fair.  We will hold it on April 7 instead of April 4.  This gives you an extra weekend.  You can still turn it in on the 4th if you want to.
