Place Value with Decimals

Once you have watched the video above, make sure you check out the slideshare presentation below.

Can you find examples of when you would use decimals in everyday life?  Write down two examples to share with the class.

Math Review to Start the Year

Watch the Khan Academy video above to review this basic skill from 4th grade.  When you have finished, try some Khan Academy practice.  You can also watch additional videos on this topic if you still need help.

Remember, in fifth grade you will need to know all of your basic math facts.  If you need to practice, try out these websites:
