Announcement -- Summer Reading Challenge 2014!!!

Welcome to all of my current and former students.  I invite all of you take take on the Summer Reading Challenge of 2014.  The challenge is to read at least 5 good chapter books before school starts again in the fall.  If you want to be an elite reader, then you should read at least 10 good chapter books.  Champion readers would probably read at least 15 good chapter books over the summer.  Not sure what to read?

Check out these websites for ideas:

Leave me a comment so that I know what you are reading.  I might even recommend your book on this website.

As you are completing this challenge, let me know by leaving comments with what book you read and how many you have read so far.  I will keep track of the number of books you have read on this link.  I would also encourage you to write a list of books you have read on kidblog over the summer.  If you complete (or surpass) this challenge, I will try to get you recognized by the principal in the fall.  Have a great summer and enjoy reading!
